GIVE LOVE - GIVE HOPE - GIVE THANKS

Multiple Fundraising Efforts Available

Jennie’s community has setup three fundraisers in her honor, each representing a different cause she believed in. You can read about each and find the appropriate links below. All money will benefit the relevant cause exclusively.

Thank you for all the support!

Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue Fund

As an avid animal lover, Jennie felt compassion and curiosity for all the cats, dogs, and other animals she encountered. In honor of Jennie, we would like to support a local animal fostering shelter, Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue (RMFR), that Jennie helped support in Denver, CO. Jennie loved meeting all kinds of animals and, even more so, taking care of cats in her spare time. She had lost her two kittens, Tuxie and Tito, previously, but that did not stop her from loving any other cat differently.

Memorial Bench Fund

To remember Jennie’s love for nature and the city of Austin, Texas we plan to have a memorial bench installed overlooking Lady Bird Lake. Located in downtown Austin, the bench will be a place anyone to enjoy one of Jennie’s favorite parks in Jennie’s favorite city. The exact site is to be determined in Fall 2023 when applications open.

We Don’t Waste Food Recovery Fund

Jennie’s colleagues at Next Technik organized a fundraiser to support the Colorado-based organization We Don’t Waste. The organization works to reduce hunger and food waste in the Denver area by recovering quality, unused food from the food industry and delivering it to nonprofit partners, such as food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, schools and daycare programs, and more.

News Update

Memorial Bench and Tree in Grand Park, Aliso Viejo, CA

Jennie attended elementary school, middle school, and high school in Aliso Viejo, CA. Grand Park is near Aliso Viejo town center where Jennie used to watch summer movies and walk by to work part time at Regal Edwards in high school. In memory of Jennie’s life in the city, we applied for a 72” concrete memorial bench as well as planting a 24” Box Tree in Grand Park. The application has been approved by Aliso Viejo Community Association.

Update (1/27/24): The bench has been made and includes a sign with Jennie’s name. When you sit on the bench, you get a view of Aliso Viejo on top of the hill. Pictures of the bench and location is provided below.
